I wish her the best of luck. I was fingerprinted for the bar, and for teaching- I assume my fingerprints are on file- I would assume that is another way to establish one's identity, but I've never checked in to it. But if she was ever fingerprinted, I would assume the police would be understanding enough to use their technology to help people get identification in this emergency.


I looked for articles on this subject, but didn't find any related to Katrina and what people are doing, because it's probably early in the day for people to be worrying about that, since many of them are still just trying to survive.

FEMA should have information on this sort of thing, shouldn't they? and there are these agencies:

Maybe the Red Cross is used to dealing with restoring ID for people? It's worth a try to call them.
