The local media stations here have a place set up, you come in and show your ID and get what you need. Some are staying at the fair grounds and Ft Chaffee has been mentioned.

Seems barracks would be a lot better than a floor at a sports arena...

A thought for me was prisoners are treated better than the people displaced from the coast; we do need to work on rearranging some priorities....

Something like that. In addition, they've been kicking conventions out of the various centers to make room for evacuees. Houston is doing all they can.


I think Houston and TX may be over doing it. Last estimates, 150K are making their way to TX. Even with a state that big, that's too many people. Of course, Baton Rouge has pretty much doubled its population since Sunday and is now the largest city in Louisiana.
