It basically is the same mentality as the Robber Barrons, only now Oil Barrons, that allows for this utter neglect and contempt for people to continue. Increadible that even after over 100 years of experience, the American people still haven't learned that the people at the top don't give a rats ass about them. Unless you're in the top 5% and benefitting from Bush's policies, you have no business voting Republican.

I do think the Republicans are going to pay a price at the polls in 2006 and 2008. People were already upset at the war lies, deaths and rising gas prices. This has been a summer of disconent to some extent. Hurricane Katrina has just crystalized these feelings amongst the masses.
