"A modern metropolis sinking in water and into anarchy -- it is a really cruel spectacle for a champion of security like Bush,"

news.yahoo.com

The lame response to Katrina by Washington has been a total embarrassment to the world. This is going to take the world view of the USA down quite a few notches.

NOTHING happened for 4 days! Even after Bush had flown over the city. NOTHING.

Don't tell me - your side’s hero is President Bush?

Wow - what a man of action he is. I wonder how many rides on his bike he got in before it occurred to him that someone better act on the New Orleans disaster pronto?

Seems like it took until Thursday and the shocking reports by the media before it finally "sunk in” that some US citizens were in dire need of help.

Why didn't his fly over on Wednesday get the ball rolling? Its almost as if he was simply curious so he flew over. It didn't seem to occur to him that action was needed though.
