I don't think there is meaningful for china and us government donating money for each other. It is all political show. Remeber Bush pledge $12 billion taxpayers money and spend like drunk. People should make a donation to poor third world countries only. Meanwhile, Hu cancelled his visit to Washington. There is no good chemistry between two countries now.

It looks that US government drop the ball big time. I don't think the evacuation is needed if New Orlean can restore power and water supply in short time.

Is this th Deja Vu of Bible story to turn both of your cheeks and let your foe slash them as Jesus did all over again? I will not give a penny if I work for CNOOC since CNOOC's money was regarded as a kind of potential threat to US natinoal security.
