Buddy,

The lesson here is:

Stock up enough food and water to last you at least 3 days and put it in the safest part of your house. If you go to the FEMA website it says that households should store roughly a week's worth of food and water for each household member. - because it may take several days before government assistance can get to you after a disaster. If you are rescued and sent to a distribution center, make sure you bring your drinking water with you (same with your meds).

If a category 5 hurricane is chugging your way, get out of the way.
