Well,
using your argument if I may, try this:
The mayor and governor issued an evacuation order. Did they not know many helpless residents could not evacuate? Where were the city buses? School buses? Seems it would have been a lot cheaper to pick up the people in city buses then than using Blackhawk helicopters to pick them up now not to mention the cadavers...

And do you understand spending gazillions on the city's levees would have not had any effect on your gas prices?

And are you shitting me about your house? Do you not understand the difference between one house and a whole city of hundreds of thousands of people? You think that the federal government should not aid in protecting a city from flooding and hurricanes? The alternative to paying the hundred million or so dollars to improve the levees is now tens of billions in insurance claims. Penny-wise, pound-foolish.

Suddenly, one minute he's chiding everyone for not being sensitive enough and not doing enough for the hurricane victims [as if he really cares] and then the next minute he's looking to feather his own nest like the rest of his GOP comrades.

The whole thing is very confusing for Harris now that Bush admitted he screwed up........he doesn't know what position to take. Hopefully, in his confusion, he will forget to post on the thread.
