Because if they stay where they are they'll starve, die of dehydration, dysentery or gunfire?

Because a million other people had to move at the same time, and there's only so many places that can absorb that many people in that short a period.

It is different. For one, the showers at these camps have water coming outta the spiggots instead of ZyklonB, and the people will be fed, clothed and given medical attention. Listen I'm sure not happy about what happened the past week, but hyperbole and sensationalism won't meet the challenges of the days ahead.
