Even before this war, even before the hurricane, we should have been spending more of our money on our own problems. But I'm all for anticipating problems and solving them while the solving is much easier to do. There is no question. However, even a country as wealthy as we are has to have priorities. You have a war, you have infrastructure needs, you have a federal deficit, you have tax cuts. We can't afford them all so that list was prioritized. Guess who ended up at the bottom of the list?
