The levee's that failed DID get funded, and were completed 2 years ago. Had all the funding gone through, the experts say it would have done some good, with less water getting in (although this is far from certain). Hear that? A little. Get a life, they haven't funded the thing to take a storm like this ever, and considered the risk minimal, while the potential for this disaster has been known all along. ALL ALONG, under ALL ADMINISTRATIONS in both my and my parents lifetimes. Clueless partisan crap is all you've got. Dan B.
