Fair comment. The Gov has definitely dropped the ball, too.

But wouldn't America be a different place today if blacks had been given some land after the Civil War? Which would you rather have, a job, welfare, or a piece of the action?

Door "C", Monty.

I try to get out of politics too lately, but I had a thought recently after reading Bob Moriarty's latest on True North Gems. Canada is arguing with Greenland about a tiny worthless island near the north pole. I almost have to think -- Ottawa should give Greenland the whole damn Nunavut. Greenland seems to know how to manage their land well, but Nunavut is a disaster, a welfare case of mind-boggling magnitude, and now bureaucratic ineptitude of mind-boggling proportions after their self-government deal. My brother has visited several communities in the far north -- by his accounts, these places almost look like a landfill, ancient garbage piling up everyone year after year, and no one seems to care (compare to the Moriarty's pictures of picturesque little Nuuk Greenland).

Hey, on the positive side, TGX just found a 445 carat rough ruby -- looks gem quality to me based on the picture! Does anyone follow diamond juniors and know how much blood, sweat and tears they go through to find a rock that is more than microscopic... and TGX is just finding rubies, which can compare in value to diamonds, all over the place sticking out of the ground -- now a huge one. Oh, and the stock has a market cap of $12 million Cdn. Hmmmmm.... (this is not a mysterious, unexplained Eric Hmmmmm, that is a good Hmmmmm!) :-)
