I think what happened is that FEMA is supposed to coordinate everything -- and didn't do it.

I say this because I've been up close to the disaster relief efforts for many, many hurricanes as a former lifelong resident of Louisiana. There was always a super-quick reaction before.

This is just crazy.

For example -- someone on another thread was boasting about 28,000 military being sent but they needed to wait for 5000 trucks.

1000 military the very next day could have worked miracles.
