What sort of group of eight persons with weapons begins to fire at a convoy of police escorted contractors? What was their intent? What was their mission?

Perhaps to create chaos? The first story (that police killed 5 contractors) came out of Great Britain (Independent.UK). The current story (police killed armed people shooting at contractors) came, I believe, from the AP.

The people of America are very upset

Which is precisely why we all need to take a breath, do what we can, and not believe everything we hear until confirmed/corroborated.
