It was not the main point...but you took it as the main point. The point is that there was plenty of advance notice.

And the point was that officials already knew that there were 100,000's of poor with out the means to evacuate themselves. Does the Bushie responsibility end with issuing the evacuation notice, and then let them fend for themselves? How stupid is that when you then have to fish them out of the drink and off rooftops by expensive helicopter runs?

As for folks not wanting to leave, I don't think that anyone should be forced to leave, just offered a ride out of harms way. Could have been to many facilities, including military bases, campuses and even the super dome.

Blame goes to those that already knew of NO's particular hazzard and failed to act...FEMA is at the top of that list, along with Bush for cutting the programs that could have alleviated the flood conditions.
