I don't think hurricane victims should have a death benefit simply for being a citizen of the united states.

I wonder if the federal government could be sued, and the corporate veil of government breached for individuals, for a death benefit for willful aiding negligent wrongful death by cutting improvements to the safety of NO levies. Or willful and wrongful neglect (leading to death) if the people died during the rescue attempts.

That would be sad but some ambulance chasers will prob try to raise civil suits.

It happens all the time in California against Cal Trans.

Recent class action legislation does limit benefits and i think this legislation was championed by bush and co.
