Can you believe the mayor of NewOrleans after ordering an evacuation of the city, did not use mass transit to pick up anyone who couldn't evacuate?

Mass transit? You wanted the NO bus service to take them to the city's edge and then drop them off? Where were they to go from there? And how?

Nagin:

cnn.com
Nagin issued mandatory evacuation.
And get this:Nagin warned that Katrina's expected storm surge -- which could top 28 feet -- would likely topple those levies.

Nagin could have saved lives but he didn't. It's very clear why he is screaming his head off....

Before the storm hit, it was expected that NO would get the worst of the storm surge.......28 feet. However, it was actually Biloxi and Gulfport that got the 25-30' storm surges. I believe NO's was somewhere between 15-20'. The worry was that the levees would break during the hurricane. On Monday after the storm had passed, the levees were holding so how do you see he could have saved lies???

You understand Rove has pretty much given up on this angle and is focusing his attention on discrediting Blanco and Landrieux. They are white and women........much easier pickings for a GOPer than a black mayor.
