This very fine essay on tribalism brings me unpleasant memories of the multiculturalism that the Clinton administration was trying to shove down our throats. When are we going to realize that we are all Americans, and that our culture is the AMERICAN culture? Not any time soon, it appears. As long as people like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Ted Kennedy, Chuck Schumer, and many of the Hollywood elite like Sean Penn hold sway over a significant portion of our population, we'll never make any progress.
