Not by a long shot<g>. Powerful, yes, superpower? NO! Not until 50-100 years of Wo Xin Chang Dan and real solid hard working, like the period between 1950-1965. China will not become a superpower by "buying" technology since there are ANY for sale. They have to have their own advanced technology. To the contrary, I see China is on the way becoming a super colony of the MNCs! Hope Hu Jintao new policy becomes prevail faster, and that is the only way to stop China being further colonized
