re: US firms (NG weighed producers) with a VALUE angle

they list on .. the NASDAQ, the AMEX and the NYSE

Try PQUE, GMXR and CPE .. CPE is already a tad bigger but the former two firms are nice established juniors with PRODUCTION and a favourable project inventory also.. Their facilities were all spared by the hurricane.

Thinly traded PNRG is also a candidate. They have an offshore subsidiary (63% owned ? called F-W Oil) - but I think that's mostly offshore Texas. They recently obtained GE Capital financing to construct a material ´NG pipeline to tie in recent offshore discoveries..

If you want something with more upside but more risk also, you might try ABP (Abraxas) - they are GAS WEIGHED have a high debt load but might benefit from the very high gas prices. Not sure how much is hedged but it could be an interesting candidate to tap the NG frenzy.. This is an onshore company..
