I don't see 'em killing each other for shares of KBH either...it's the moneyed classes doing that. I'm sure the looters picked up their share of gold if and when they came across it...<NFG> hehe - I think if they believed shares of KBH would make thier pain go away like the heroin - or would fill them up like a nice MRE steak tips dinner or would make them feel safe ala assault rifle - perhaps they would be killing each other for KBH - I think this is the idea with gold - Chen and Elroy and the other shiny metal believers perhaps think hey if we get the shiny metal - when the currency becomes toilet paper I can trade the shiny metal out for my medicine and food and bullets. But here is where I disagree with them - if it gets that bad - as NO has - where the currency and the government backing it are worthless shit and have totally collapsed - then GOLD is not going to be any better than KBH shares - to steal from Chris - you come to the gunfight with gold coins and KBH shares and I will show up with the mogambo and his assault rifles. Patron I am not saying this lightly, this is VERY VERY important for people to ponder over - you, the general, elroy - very intelligent people in your own ways - but again - when things get so bad where you think gold is going to save you - how will shiny metal be any different than KBH shares? General chen tells me he is buying gold pandas and maple leafs almost everyday to bury in his backyard - and not because he is a coin collecter - but because the world is going to end - and I just don't understand how him and elroy and others really believe shiny metal will matter if things really come to that - it makes absolutely no sense to me - why do you believe this? You are in the middle of the superdome with the last pack of MRE food and evian water - why are the thugs with guns going to give you some gold for it - if you have the gun why are you going to part with your food and water for thier gold? It is crazy thinking that I feel. What causes this silly belief in so many smart people? I would much rather bury bottles of wine and MRE's in my yard than shiny metal, if TEOTWAKI really does come as some smart folks believe - I can eat and drink those things - not shiny metal. I was in NO last year during the hurricane, i saw lots of people wearing gold chains, I bet we see some of them floating dead as the cleanup takes place - if they had bought some MRE's and such with that gold chain on thier neck - maybe they would be alive now - but that MEME that GOLD is the thing to have probably wasn't the best safety net.
