OK Joe, I am in now way an expert or claiming to be so as for NYC. I just have spent quite some time here visiting friends, going to the Met opera, dining and wining like everybody else. All of that since my first visit 1969. Sure enough, with my SoHo artist girlfriend of the time (at 12, a French Jewish immigrant from Tunis) living in SoHo, back in the 70s I got a great look into areas of which my fellow Europeans could only dream. But, having said that, NYC is changing all the time and it even takes more than just living there to claim understanding and knowing much of what's going on. Taro
