I know that but must also admit, that in those cases my better off US friends mostly return to their usual explanation, that "those guys are not really black but just white people trapped inside a black skin". It for sure is a fact, that any black America, sorry "African American" making it anywhere on TV does indeed speak like a white man. Only on movies, recently a couple of great guys have made it all way to the top while keeping their original accent, which only 30 years ago was close to making it into a 2nd language to be taught at US schools.
