No, I think it's a sleeper. There's been considerable development there in the past 10 years or so, but nothing like alot of bubble locales. Lots of National Forests to the north, AZ Snowbowl, Northern AZ University. It's on I-20, so not too long of a drive to Vegas, and about 2.5-3 hours to Phoenix when traffic isn't too bad. The only negative with regard to natural disasters is forest fires. Sedona has been built up quite a bit over the last 15 years, ditto Prescott which is far from the sleepy little town it was as recently as 1990.
