RE: "It is obvious that all the beaurocracy added to FEMA under homeland security is the primary cause of this mess."

The race ends in a many way tie, and singling out one horse for a loss is a loser, IMHO.

You've got the day Brown said he first heard wrong (would be Wednesday, I'm pretty sure).

There is no comparison of this event to "CA earthquakes and mississippi floods." Everyone can see that. FEMA and Local Officials and State Officials had plenty planned for an adequate response to events like that.

Why do you think I'm delusional? Because I think the evidence shows that everyone is to blame? Because I said that this disaster called for an unprecedented response for which no one at any level had ever thought through enough to get a decent plan in place? Lizzie, these folks at all levels recognized the nature of the beast, and NONE, I repeat NONE of them from local to federal set out to exercise a plan which would take care of the reality encountered Tuesday when the water started rising.

Why do I bother? Guess I'd better switch to always blaming Bush, to pacify you. Here ya go, he shoulda left Witt in the job, and this disaster would have been solved swimmingly.

LOL...ya gotta be a true-believer, and I'm not.
