But I don't know. From the fond tone of her article, it certainly doesn't seem like the culture of New Orleans, or the large number of black people there, had anything to do with it.

It just seem like there were several well known people that spoke foundly of the city but decided not to live there any more....a former mayor, Anne Rice, Harry Connick Jr.......its hard to remember all the names. It made me wonder if the city was being abandoned with only the poor remaining.
