Oh well, you seem to have forgotten that Bush believes that it was God who has put him in the Whitehouse and, therefore, he has carte blanche authority to do and say whatever he likes. On several occasions, while standing upright before a gathering of doubters and dissenters, Bush closed his eyes, bowed his head and went into silent meditation for a minute or two and then, looking at them in the eye, he said, "trust me............." It seems to many he was telling them he knows what God wants him to do. To be sure, he has ignored Osama ben Ladin's message last November which, in essense, was to the extent that the US would escalate action against his brethren, the Moslems would heighten their action against the Americans. No wonder the enemy action has escalated 3 to 4 fold (according to some sources.) Bush prides himself as a "born-again" Christian. I wonder whether his faith is still strong after KATRINA (an act of God) had devastated New Orleans and environs, or does he consider KATRINA as some sort divine retribution for the fire and destruction the Bush Admin. has rained upon Fallujah and elsewhere in Iraq. To be sure, not a few Buddhists consider KATRINA was karmic retribution against the US, and many Moslems in the Middle East must be gloating over KATRINA's devastation of an important US city. By the way, for whatever it is worth, Sollog, (see sollog.com) the modern-day Nostradamus, has predicted as early as 1999, that several major US cities will be destroyed in the foreseeable future.
