They were asking the Feds for help every day, we saw that live on CNN - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. The mayor and the Governor. We're talking about air drops of food and water here. Emergency aid dropped from helicopters.

No local city government or state could handle something like this. Not in Chicago, New York, or LA. Not this big.

That's why we have FEMA - Federal Emergency Management Admin.

They did get 80% of New Orleans residents out. Do you think people could get 80% of Chicago, LA, or New York City out in a few days? And, New Orleans is surrounded on 3 sides by water.

I saw today - we're talking working people here. Some didn't see orders to evacuate until late Saturday. Then they didn't have money/checks to cash to get out.

I think they did well to get 80% out personally.
