FEMA under Bush is a disgrace. I hear the head of it has no disaster experience and was appointed by Bush because because he helped cover up Bush's Guard records from the Vietnam era. The current FEMA head didn't have the brains to call the Pentagon once until after the fact when the military had various ships and choppers in the area waiting to be called in. Just amazing ineptitude. Rumsfield was just as inept in Iraq, but got the job because he's like GW's uncle. All in the family of corrupt dunces. Another FUBAR fact, FEMA and HS didn't know who was the boss of the other so they spent a whole day talking to lawyers while hundreds and thousands of people were dying. And Bush was busy making some BS speech in San Diego.
