I often wonder what Bible these Protestants in the US are reading when they talk about the "Biblical approach" or solution or way. For example they talk about the Biblical approach to marriage. I know from the Bible I could have unlimited wives for example, I don't think they are talking about that.

It certainly ain't the one I've got here. But mine is the Old Testament in Hebrew (I do have an English translation too). Judiasm anyway doesn't rely on the Bible in this way anyway. Orthodox Judaism is based on the Talmud and later interpretations of that which are lossely based on the Biblical law, over-riding it where it made sense to over-ride it. So for example in about the 11th century Ashkenazi rabbis decided that multiple wives were illegal.
