You know it just dawned on me......the kind of hardass reaction the GOPers on this thread are having to Katrina is very typical of the attitudes of GOPers I experienced while growing up. You have said before that the change came with the neocons but frankly, its all that I've ever known. Its why I did not become a Republican when I graduated even though fiscally I am more in line with what the GOP claimed to be their spending habits.........although that's looking more and more like another urban myth. To me, this niggardly attitude esp. to the poor is very typical of Republicans. Do you disagree?

JF, is there a black guy you don't like personally? Maybe you should try getting back at him by dressing up as a member of the KKK.

Then when you get tried for a "hate crime," you can tell the judge that you were just "faking it," that you really don't have a "prejudice bone" in your body, and that you did it because you just don't like that guy.
