Tsig, sure. . .those officers who have been in the trenches day after day deserve time off, hazardous duty pay, counseling and a huge thanks. But there is not necessarily a correlation between those cops who looted and those who left. We can't assume all cops who turned bad also left.

Well, OK. Perhaps bad cops need some time off too. I would just make certain to clear all R&R with the internal affairs division (or what's left of it) first.

Being spelled off is imperative. Still have doubts about the whole Vegas thing though. . . unless it is being used as a lure to attract those who walked off the job to return to work to claim their perk. Now that would be interesting.
