That is a mind-numbing number.

As a point of reference, total US troop deaths and MIA in Viet Nam were 58,226.

The possibility of 40,000 deaths from a single storm and its aftermath is horrific.

Would you be kind enough to provide a reference for these statements? They differ from those published in the Sunday NYT.

Also, I recall seeing many videos of the highways on TV. I think the first time I saw contra flowing traffic was late Tuesday. I remember this because NOT having contra flowing traffic seemed really dumb, even though there was almost no inbound traffic.

Again, would you be kind enough to provide a reference for assertions made in one of your previous posts re: traffic, etc.?
