Bush and FEMA are primarily responsible for the poor response to the Katrina disaster and in particular the New Orleans flooding debacle. This is being confirmed by people on the ground now, including Joe Scarborough who becomes the first truly honest Republican press honcho to tell it like it is and call Bushies negligent liars.

Everyone knew many people in New Orleans had no way to evacuate, no means, no cars, no nothing. Bush knew this, FEMA knew this. The Mayor of NO told the citizens this. He was not negligent. Besides, even if he had a plan, his own local first repsonders were underwater as well as the residents.

You are doing the ugliest most villainous but typical Bushie thing to do, blame the victims for your crimes or own gross negligence. Like old people in wheelchairs living on small pensions. How are those people supposed to evacuate? This is exactly like the Enron Bushies blaming the victims of their gouging in California for the Bushies own (now proven) crimes. The Iraq War is also directly responsible. We need those troops, funds and equipment back home NOW.

... the governor didn't ask for federal help until Wednesday, and by then it was already too late...

That's a bloody lie! Are you trying to outdo the BIG LIAR Dumbya here?!

The governor asked for Federal help on Saturday August 27, almost two days BEFORE the hurricane hit New Orleans :
