It has been established that individual regions have cyclical changes. But global warming means warming of the GLOBE. The fact that 1998 remains the hottest year on record for global temperature implies that the globe is cooler now than it was in 1998. That's a fact. Blaming hurricanes or their intensity on global warming is just silly.
