This morning's WSJ had an article this morning that the east side of NO actually started flooding during the hurricane, with the real rush of water coming only a few hours after the eye passed. Wish I could post the article, it is very good with some new information (I only get the hard copy, not the on-line version).

BTW, I think the WSJ might get a Pulitzer for the coverage of Katrina. It's excellent.
