Trotsky makes a really good point here: if new money comes into the miners, it should overwhelm this unfavorable put:call situation. But what will bring in new money?

The post-Katrina combination of lost jobs and a federal money pump spell stagflation, and that is exactly the environment most favorable to the POG. This time, new money should arrive with the expectation that POG will rise during stagflation. IMO.
