TOO much to expect a SINCERE early visit from him ?

The problems with an early visit would have been greater then the problems with a later visit. Not problems for Bush personally, but problems for the people on the ground trying to gain control of the situation.

As for sincerity - Whether or not Bush was sincere it is probably too much to expect his opponents to accept that he may have been very sincere or to in any way give him any benefit of the doubt.

Bush's actions now are irrelevant. He set in place a worthless operation to deal with a somewhat predictable disaster. He gutted funds for repairs of the levees and he gutted FEMA's expertise. He runs the US government exactly the way Richard Daley used to run Chicago back in the 1960s--total patronage, without any regard to expertise and ability. I don't analyze Bush's behavior anymore. He is simply a worthless punk. Name me a single one of his achievements. Now we're going to get a right-wing lunatic to head the Supreme Court for the next 30 years. I wish Bill Clinton would quite associating with those f**kers.
