That's my thinking as well.

Castro is not long for this earth, and there are billions in exports that we are giving up to Canada and European nations because our policy is mired in the past.

All we are doing is shooting ourselves in the foot... we are not hastening his departure at all.

If capitalist economic development encourages transition to more pluralistic, and democratic societies --- as we maintain is and has been the case in the former Soviet Union, in China, in Iraq, etc. --- then Cuba should be no different at all.
