Stefaan, Yes, correct. Actually combining THAI, the efficient SAGD extraction technology with CAPRI, the efficient upgrading technology, could make the oil sands much more profitable, for a few reasons as you state:

*increase of recoverable barrels
*less requirement for NG
*less requirement for water

Even if THAI does not work, PBG's oil sands are very valuable. The other technology that does what CAPRI does is in the NXY/OPC JV, OrCrude. OrCrude uses less NG in the upgrading process, so if Suncor and COS used OrCrude they would be more profitable. COS uses over C$5/bbl of NG, so you can imagine if that was cut even by 1/3 (some NG still required for SAGD), then COS's 45m bpd op would become even more profitable.

For PBG, OPC and NXY, the licensing potential of THAI, OrCrude and CAPRI is huge.
