I mean, you don't really need to id them before then, they are dead and you count them. There isn't much of a question of whether or not they are dead, and most are pretty intact, unlike at the WTC. So not as much danger of having several arms, some fingers, a foot or two and trying to decide how many people it represents. But the only number I've seen is from Mississippi and that one is 160. Yeah, they're hiding the figures. I haven't seen a body count for MS since last Friday. Once they realized the screwups and their culpability they started fudging on the issue. The mayor of NO knows something's up.......he keeps repeating the 10k figure. Maybe that's why he's paranoid. Christiane Anmanpour knows something as well. She keeps doing news reports on the morgue that the feds have set up in St. Gabriel. Its disturbing what bastards they are. Which, as you note, hasn't changed in a while. Yet Mississippi officials are saying it will be around 1000. Nothing is said officially about Louisiana, although every once in a while you get a number, like the 100 in Chalmette who died waiting for transport. Add in the 30 in the nursing home, and Chalmette lost at least 130 residents. But that assumes that is all that died, which may or may not be justified. One hospital they went into in NO had 17 bodies. They are finding bodies all over. I don't know if the death toll is 10K but its a lot. All I have to say is I saw an interview where the reporter was talking to a rescue worker and they were talking about how nasty the water was. The reporter said something like "and just behind us there are bodies floating"... Now think about that. There are so many bodies that they can't even get out the ones in the area where they operate. Oh yeah. And you know no one wants to bring them in. I mean how do you do it with no refrigeration equipment without getting totally grossed out. Like I posted yesterday, I'd rather clean toilets.
