The Florida "recount" was a big scam and political fix. Anyone who helped Bush with it has been rewarded with promotions and sweetheart deals. very much like a mafia.

The article wonders if the continued presence of a Bush/Cheney campaign 2000 chief administer would have helped with the Katrina response.

Gee, ya gotta wonder.

Meanwhile a rehash of the election 2000 debate doesn't recall for us that while another Bush/Cheney fellow now a lawyer for FEMA who then lawyered for Bush/Cheney and tried to stop some recounting, in fact the Supreme Court correctly ruled 7-2 against the kind of re-counting continually requested by Gore.

There is not much of value in this article in regards to actual Katrina performance.
