"She waited to long, didn't send in her Nat. Guard guys, ordered to shoot loots." She requested National Guard. There were some in New Orleans, I am not sure why they only had 250. There were promises of thousands, the mayor continually referred to them, but they never appeared. She sent in the request for a declaration of emergency, like she is supposed to, on the 26th, the Friday before the storm hit. How much earlier should she have done that? True, she didn't order shooting looters, I feel that was a mistake, but I can understand hesitating on doing that.
