re: Your inference is that Brown is somehow responsible for deaths of these people who the local government failed to evacuate.

Have you ever been in a "mandatory" evacuation zone? I have. People make there own decisions, it would take an army a month to forcefully evacuate them, and nobody, anywhere, has ever tried. But still it's a good tactic to try to shift blame from FEMA.

re: The federal government was in no position and had no responsibility to perform such an evacuation.

FEMA had a responsibility to get in the minute the storm was over and start a rescue and evacuation process. That's what their entire job is, that's their mission, that's their reason for existence, that's what we and the people of New Orleans pay taxes for.

It's not like they had something else to do, yet they went missing.

Bush put political cronies in charge of a hugely important functional agency. He's directly responsible for much of the death in New Orleans.

The fact that you reappear and protest so much proves that you understand the consequences.
