Perhaps, but I have the majority worldview of the scientific community on my side. Watson is simply spewing U.S. energy lobby inspired rhetoric. What else can guys like Cheney say when they have so much at stake with their oil and gas stakes, let alone relationships with the West's largest energy companies and their stakeholders. Of course to them the consequence of admitting to playing a part in global warming leads to notions of conservation and alternative energy, which they do not want to see happen. Look how the Bush administration's energy strategy is playing out ... we now have skyrocketing energy prices and who do you think is benefitting? Certainly not the average guy, but oil companies are, Bush's biggest lobbying constituency, next to the armaments lobby.
