"I like the NON PARTISAN aspect but sadly have found it wont work ultimately. First you got to FIND that rare bird then you got to FEED it." The only TRULY non-partisan (and effective) redistricting system that I'm aware of is in Iowa --- where it has worked fine for years. The non-partisan panel of retired judges that is tasked with the redistricting operates under a few CLEAR RULES. They cannot violate these rules: 1) Districts of equal population. 2) Districts to be GEOGRAPHICALLY COMPACT (ie, not allowed to meander all over the place like a snake). 3) Unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY because of the first two rules, counties and or cities are NEVER to be divided. I look forward to the day that the REST of the country can give the deep-six to corrupt partisan gerrymandering, too. Looks like Ohio, California, and maybe CO will have an opportunity to stop the corruption this year....
