Here's the worst thing that's totally off-base, all in all, about that article:

"Before Katrina, we Americans had always come through for our own."

Well, it's after Katrina, and delays be damned as should be, but we Americans ARE obviously doing just that. You wanna argue with that? The writer ignorantly belittles the tremendous work continuing. I've got a loved one working in N.O. right now. The stories of effort are tremendously heart breaking and heartwarming at once. Whoever wrote that quoted above is out to lunch, a fact which ought to make ALL readers think twice about any agenda which may be apparent in the thing.
