Dave54 - I agree. We likely will make up for missed shopping in short order..........Longer term though, I wonder. Katrina may make us feel less secure and create a need to squirrel away? That plus much higher energy cost might cause some problems later this winter.

yes, two days of missed shopping you can make up for, but you probably didn't "more than make up" for the driving you missed. and my point is, on a national scale, we probably lost 10% of the week's driving miles to the disaster as many people were "stopped in their tracks", including me.
