I can handle giving the money IF there is some sort of responsibility that goes along with it. Social Security Number, and name, etc....and/or fingerprints.... We surely don't need to be giving the same amount of money to people who don't deserve it, nor to the same people (and their relatives, friends, cousins, neighbors, etc who live in other places of the country)....

WHAT would our early citizens of this country have done in this mess? Those who survived? They didn't get handouts from maybe other than their families....They went along with forging their new lives.

I'm all for helping people, but not so stupid as to think we should just stand on the street corner and handing out $2000 (or fill in the number) without knowing who was getting the money. Same goes for housing, medical, etc.
