Hugo went directly though a major city, Andrew went south through a suburb, yet Andrew was much more costly. Think of a 30 mile wide swath about 50 miles long of near total destruction. I lived through Hugo when I worked at Myrtle Beach AFB, it was nothing there, and not that bad even in Charleston, though I thought it was bad then. You know little of what you talk about.
