and i thought the price of diesel being so high was because it cost so much to transport , store and deliver the stuff along with very low inventory turnover.

of course in the old days we just mixed kero and heat at the loading rack for diesel diesel spec was a straight shot of kero rebranded. diesel medium was straight heating oil.

avoided separate shipments up pipelines, and likewise storage.

then again got big time problems if a station can only take a compartment or two. usually separate trucks as gasoline and diesel can result in some explosive results.
